How to Request Dates

Please reach out to one or both of us, preferably by email, with the dates you're considering. Let us know who, if anyone, will be joining you in residence. Whoever receives your request will check with the other owner and get back to you as soon as possible.

Residency Contribution

While we do not intend to profit from the residency, we do rely on financial contributions to help cover utilities, maintenance, and cleaning so that we can continue offering the space.

We ask residents to contribute a daily usage fee, along with a one-time cleaning fee. This allows you to relax during your stay without worrying about leaving the space spotless when you depart.

Based on our expenses to date, the average cost of utilities and maintenance is approximately $40 per day. We also want the residency to remain accessible. Each year, we hope to offer at least two fully subsidized one-week residencies to friends and family for whom paying is not possible, and we offer a sliding scale to accommodate different financial circumstances.

Our suggested sliding scale is $25–75 per day, per person, plus an $85 cleaning fee at the end of your residency. Those who are able to contribute at the higher end of the scale help subsidize residencies for artists with fewer financial resources.

Here are a few examples:

• Two adults staying for one week, each contributing $25 per day, would pay a total usage fee of $350, plus the $85 cleaning fee, for a total of $435, or $217.50 per person.

• Two people staying together may choose different daily rates. For example, one person might contribute $50 per day and the other $25 per day. Each resident chooses the amount that feels appropriate for their circumstances.

• A solo resident also chooses a daily contribution between $25 and $75, then adds the $85 cleaning fee.

Regardless of the length of your residency, the cleaning fee is always $85.

We imagine this will be an iterative process, and we welcome your feedback on how it could work better. Nothing is set in stone. If we have already allocated our fully subsidized residencies, we are also open to discussing work trades in place of payment.

Please submit your residency contribution before your arrival via Venmo. Venmo payment link will be provided upon agreement.
